Three Wishes cereal is a product that has grown on me significantly over the years. When I first tried it, I felt that it was very much a “health food” cereal and not a product that the general public would love.
But now their cereal is a staple in my diet, and my picky toddler enjoys it just as much as I do. So when Three Wishes recently announced their brand new chewy granola bars, I wasted no time giving them a try.
If you’re unfamiliar with Three Wishes, it’s a cereal that checks virtually every nutrition-related box imaginable. It’s grain-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, high-protein… you name it. In other words, it’s suitable for virtually every diet.
You’d assume that something that “healthy” could never taste good, but I truly love the cereal. Thus, I have really high hopes for these granola bars.

A major difference between the cereal and the granola bars is the ingredients list. Three Wishes cereal has a very minimal ingredients list and displays the ingredients on the box similar to the way RXBar does it. The granola bars, while still offering a relatively minimal ingredients list, is more substantial than the cereal.
Still, much like the cereal, these bars are free from most major allergens aside from nuts. With 110 calories and 6 grams of protein, it may not be the highest-protein snack out there, but it’s very respectable for what it is.
These chewy granola bars come in the three nostalgic flavors of classic Chewy Bars: chocolate chip, chocolate peanut butter, and s’mores.
Three Wishes S’mores Chewy Granola Bars

The first thing you notice with these bars is that they are pretty tiny, but that’s to be expected from a 100-calorie bar. In fact, these are very similar in size to actual Chewy Bars.
When you unwrap these, you’re greeted with a bar that very much resembles a chewy bar, which is a great start.

As you bite into these bars, you’ll notice that they are much thicker than you’d expect. Since these are labeled as chewy granola bars, I went into this review expecting a soft & chewy nature, but these granola bars are noticeably thicker.
While still chewy, the lack of actual granola makes these denser than your typical granola bar.
To make these bars grain-free, the oats are replaced with protein crisps, almonds, pecans, and coconut, leading to these eating much more like a “nut bar” than a classic granola bar.
That said, Three Wishes did a great job with the flavor of this one. It hits all the nostalgic notes of a s’mores Chewy Bar, but the vanilla/marshmallow flavor overshadows the chocolate a bit in this one.
Three Wishes managed to capture the marshmallow flavor very well, and the overall sweetness is balanced and not over the top.
While this will never be a spitting image of a classic s’mores chewy bar because of the textural differences, the flavor is there.
Three Wishes Chocolate Chip Chewy Granola Bar

Just like the s’mores bar, this chocolate chip granola bar is on the denser side. With the main ingredient being pea protein crisps, that’s to be expected.
Flavor-wise, the protein crisps are certainly prominent, and you mostly taste the crisps mixed with tapioca syrup. There is a nuttiness that comes through in the bar thanks to the addition of almonds and coconut along with almond butter, which is a stronger flavor than I was expecting.
The chocolate chips are plentiful, and when you get a bite of chocolate along with the nutty flavor, you certainly get a chocolate chip granola vibe.
Since the nutty flavor of this one is so prominent, it’s not quite what I would hope for in a chocolate chip granola bar, but I did still quite enjoy eating it. My two-year-old has also eaten a couple of these bars, which should tell you how tasty they actually are.
I know Three Wishes is aiming for classic Chewy Bar flavors, but if this were labeled “chocolate almond” or something similar, it would be a much better representation of what you can expect.
Three Wishes Chocolate Peanut Butter Chewy Granola Bar

The peanut butter flavor is a completely different experience than the other bars, and I actually think that is a great thing.
Peanuts are the main ingredient in this one, and you certainly taste them in every bite. This bar removes the coconut flakes, which helps a ton in the overall texture in my opinion, and the peanut butter replaces almond butter to give this one a much bigger pop of flavor.
Because of the peanut chunks in this one, it eats much more like a nut bar or trail mix bar than it does a chewy granola bar, but the flavor is there. If you’re a fan of peanuts and/or peanut butter, you won’t be disappointed in this bar.
Three Wishes Grain-Free Granola Bars: Overall Thoughts

For what these bars offer, I think they are a great option. While not quite on the level of Three Wishes Cereal, these are still an enjoyable snacking experience.
If you buy these expecting the same experience of actual Chewy Bars, you might be disappointed here. Since they are completely grain-free, they lean heavily into the nuts and eat more like a trail mix or nut bar than an oat-based granola bar.
The flavors are delicious, so as long as you know what to expect from the texture, you’ll be satisfied with these.
As someone without any major dietary restrictions, I would still prefer something like a Nature Valley protein granola bar, but these Three Wishes bars are more impressive in the macro and ingredient department. If you’re grain-free, gluten-free, or dairy-free, these would be a no-brainer.
